Therapists

Christy

“Your work is to discover your work and then, with all your heart, to give yourself to it.” – Buddha
I've been a licensed massage therapist for over 3 years. I received my training at the Austin School of Massage here in College Sation. I can do any type of massage, but my best work is Deep Tissue Massage. I find it almost impossible to go into a massage and NOT give my whole self to it when I'm working. I truly enjoy helping my clients. Knowing I can heal and help people feel better is a huge reward to me as a therapist.

I got into massage originally because it sounded like fun; a relaxed, flexible job on my terms.  I stay involved because of the people.  My coworkers have dubbed me "The Relaxation Queen" and I'm pretty proud of the nickname.  It is such a boost to be able to make so many individual people happy by taking away their pain, or by giving them an opportunity to unwind.  When your body feels good, YOU feel good, and it's one of the best feelings to know that I helped make that happen for them.

I've been a massage therapist for 15 years and I love what I do. My specialties are Deep Tissue, Swedish massage, Prenatal massage and Reflexology.

Alison

I recently relocated to Bryan/College Station from New York City and am happy to be working as a therapist at A Healing Touch Massage! I have 1300 hours of training in massage therapy and bodywork from The Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in Manhattan and have been working in the field of massage therapy and complimentary health care for over 10 years. My work is a fusion of Western therapeutic/medical massage, Eastern bodywork techniques and holistic health counseling. Through this blending of therapeutic styles, I am able to treat each client holistically, applying specific skills and knowledge to each individual client’s unique conditions and needs. My training is in Western Therapeutic Massage and Assessment, 5 Element Shiatsu, Myofascial Release, Reiki, Infant Massage, Medical Qi Gong and Pregnancy Massage. I also have specialized training in the treatment of TMJ and migraine headaches. My work is therapeutic and goal-oriented; I enjoy helping others restore and maintain their optimal health through our work together and through the teaching of self-care.
